When looking for relationships, how important is the sXe factor? When does it start becoming awkward for you?
Is it when your girlfriend/boyfriend gets drunk, or maybe when they take that first drink, or maybe even when it's just a glass of wine on a holiday once a year.

Furthermore, how much should you expect your girlfriend/boyfriend to change for you, or should they change at all? Is expecting them to abstain from drugs and alcohol asking too much? What about when they expect you to be ok with their drinking or smoking habits, is that asking too much of you?

Curious about your thoughts on this.

-Jim.

It doesn't matter that much for me in others, but they've got to respect it in me. If they can't do that, they're not worth my time, or on my level of being. Even if they're not sXe, I can't really be with an absolute drunk, I'd rather not be with a chain-smoker and I'm not interested in a drug addict or a whore. If she occasionally drinks, or gets drunk on rare occasions, it's tolerable. If she smokes sometimes, it's not necessarily that big a deal. If they take drugs for any reason, they don't make the grade, and will be fired immediately if they do it during our relationship. That, and I'm not interested in someone that's 'everybody's' girlfriend, prior to bouncing my way. It goes without saying that if she cheats on me, she's fired and has no chance of making it up to me (because she couldn't).
